#MoneyMasterClass Recap-Week 42
This week Gail focused on some daily questions related to finances:
– Have you found a way to give back?
– Does your budget balance?
– Do you go into overdraft?
Giving Back
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Gail has focused a lot on gratitude and giving back this year. And there’s good reason as there’s even some science behind the benefits of giving back.
Giving back doesn’t always have to be financial. You can always donate your time or other resources to help others.
How long until you’re debt free?
Gail walked through calculating your debt repayment schedule in Week 37.
Balanced Budget
Gail led us through creating a budget in Week 38 and gave tips on what to do if your budget doesn’t balance in Week 39.
Overdraft
Overdraft can feel convenient and necessary at times, but if there’s a way to stop using it, it’s a good idea to.

This was so interesting. I’d like to think I’m pretty good with money, I was always taught to save for a rainy day and have never been in any debt!
A Sustainably Simple Life
Amazing! So many people end up in debt that’s a great thing to have never had any!

I’ve been trying to give to more charities this year in lieu of the pandemic. Lots of hospitals need supplies and there’s where I’ve been concentrating! But also sometimes I come across someone on social media asking for help and I try to help them out as well. We’re all in this together!

That’s amazing that you’re giving back! So many hospitals are in need of supplies this year so that’s a great area to focus on.
