7 Decluttering Resources for a Successful Journey Towards Less

For the next post in our Decluttering Series, we’re taking a look at some of the other helpful information out there on the topic.

Decluttering Resources

We aren’t the only ones talking about decluttering our lives and living with less stuff. Here are some bloggers, posts, and resources that are inspiring us to clear out our clutter and embrace a more spacious life.

3. How to Handle Sentimental Clutter – Becoming Minimalist

Sentimental items can be the hardest ones to think about decluttering. In fact, it’s not a good place to start your decluttering journey. 5. Death & Minimalism – Caitlin Doughty, Ask A Mortician

That might sound like an off-putting title, but Caitlin Doughty has a unique approach and voice when it comes to stuff. This short, 8-minute video explores her love of both stuff and the idea of minimalism and how she reconciles those two things.

6. A Man & A Van – Ken Ilgunas

I don’t know about you, but for me, stories of people living different and radical lives are inspiring. While I may never live the same type of life as these people, it is inspiring to know that it is possible to change and to live outside the norm.

Ken Ilgunas’ blog isn’t about decluttering per se, but it is a unique story about living with less–a lot less–as he shares about living in a van as a way to graduate with no student debt.

They have books, a website, multiple Netflix documentaries, and a big social media following. I’m a fan of them on Twitter for their insightful questions.
