10 of my Favourite Easy Vegan Snack Ideas
As I wrote about previously, I’m currently in a lot of pain and am not able to move much. This means my day is focused on very few things such as physio exercises, taking care of my injury, and food. Because of that, I thought I’d share some of my favourite vegan snack ideas.

As I mentioned in my post about my injury, my focus is a little limited, so this post might be short or disjointed (or both!). I appreciate you reading on as I share some of my favourite vegan snacks and focus on healing my body.
Healthy Eating to Heal my Body
Being that I feel like a sedentary lump right now, It’s hard to have much of an appetite. If I’m honest, I do have a bit of a worry about over-eating since I’m not burning any calories right now. My physiotherapist reminds me, though, that my body needs nutrients and calories to heal itself. Interestingly, I was craving a lot of protein right after my injury happened, so I assumed that my body needed this in its healing process.
I’ve always found meals easy to come up with, but snacks are a bit harder for me to generate ideas for. And that’s the inspiration for this post! Hopefully it helps you to add a few new healthy, vegan snack ideas to your go-to list.
Easy Vegan Snack Ideas
Here are some of my favourites and some of the new things I’ve been adding into my snack rotation. Some of these are from scratch and some are pre-packaged from the store. Hopefully there is something to inspire you from the list!
- Fruit bowls — my current favourite is cut up cantaloupe, bananas, and blueberries.
- Apple slices and nut butter.
- Trader Joes Tasty Lentil & Potato Snack (these should be bland but are actually so addictive!)
- Trail Mix — my go to homemade mix is usually walnuts, almonds, raisins, and pumpkin seeds.
- Tortilla chips and salsa.
- Hummus and, well, pretty much anything — tortilla chips, pita bread, veggies, crackers.
- Crackers and vegan cheese or smoked tofu. Triscuits, Breton, and Wheat Thins all have vegan varieties.
- Old Dutch Salt and Vinegar chips (in moderation, of course). Keep in mind that not all salt and vinegar chips are vegan, which is mind blowing to me, but some brands include milk.
- Chocolate covered almonds, like these vegan ones a friend sent me as a get well gift.
- Avocado with salt and pepper.
Snacking Inspiration
Even though I’m a sedentary being right now, it’s been important for me to be on top of good nutrition and on top of getting enough calories for me to heal my body. I hope these vegan snack ideas have been helpful in inspiring some ideas for your own snacking through the day. Or perhaps they will be helpful if you have a vegan guest over!
